Dragline Review in Spin: Paw Hits Pay Dirt

What: Dragline review in Spin magazine.

When: Aug. 1993. Same issue as the feature article on Paw.

So What: Spin describes the members of the band as “a bunch of sexually frustrated young men playing really loud.” After a fistful of back-handed compliments about Mark’s voice, Grant’s guitar and the glinting pairing thereof, Spin praises Sleeping Bag as the finest track on the album. “It contains all the elements of the Paw sound: a lyric of yearning and loss, a loud guitar groove broken in the middle by a crisply strummed acoustic interlude, a sense of urgency and rebirth.”
